Over 85 people attended the Community Vision Summit on November 21 at Concord Elementary School. People who live, work, play, and own businesses in the area came together to share their vision for the area. A series of vision stations were available from 9 am to 1:30 pm at an open house in the school's main corridor. From 10 am to 12:30 pm, approximately 75 people participated in a workshop with large and small group discussions.
The day's activity focused on identifying assets, issues, and opportunities for the area while discussing a bigger picutre vision for the area between the Willamette River, Webster Road, the City of Milwaukie, and the City of Gladstone. The ideas generated at the meeting will be tested at focus groups and through a community questionnaire over the next two months. A community Open House is tentatively scheduled for February 20.
